The self-catering farmhouse, sleeping up to 10 people, serves as a base for a wide variety of activities and tours on the farm and in the surrounding area. The large, comfortable farmhouse, built in 1937, is situated so as to offer spectacular views of the farm. The house has 5 en-suite bedrooms, a large living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a wide verandah on two sides. The house is designed for socializing so the kitchen, lounge and verandah are popular places in which to meet and relax. The farmhouse is cool in the summer and is warmed by cozy fireplaces during winter. The lovely gardens offer tranquility and peace and there is a plunge pool in which to cool off on hot summer days. The
well-equipped kitchens of all our venues are perfect for self-catering but dinner,
breakfast and lunch can be supplied on request. Alternatively,
your first groceries can be bought for you so you can really relax and
enjoy the restful nature of Kurisa Moya. The two Forest Lodge cabins, each sleeping between 2 and 4, are set in a breathtaking indigenous forest. From your deck you can look out onto massive trees which host playful samango monkeys or Narina Trogons. The cabins are fully self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom. Thora Boloka cottage, sleeping between 2 and 6, has spectacular views down into the Kudu's River Valley. There are unique features like handmade washbasins, gum branches for doorposts and an outdoor shower with a view. The huge patios afford opportunities to see baboons, klipspringer and black eagles in a place of complete privacy and tranquility |

As the custodians of this Eco-lodge measuring 422 hectares, we strive to make environmentally sound, eco-friendly decisions regarding land use and new buildings and to restore the land to the original grassland or indigenous forest. We offer a greening programme for our guests in which indigenous trees are planted at our local schools and clinics. A popular option for visitors is a real-life tour and home-stays in the nearby villages to support our community. Kurisa Moya has been selected as one of Rough Guide’s Clean Breaks top 500 Eco-destinations in the world and is one of a handful of Establishments recognised as being not only Birder Friendly but also one practising Responsible Tourism. By being eco-friendly, we hope to encourage a sustainable future for this beautiful natural environment. The farm’s varied habitats are home to over 250 species of birds, including the Narina Trogan, the Black-fronted Bush Shrike, the Green Twinspot and the Buff-spotted Flufftail. The Woodbush area is one of the top birding sites as mentioned in in Callan Cohen, Claire Spottiswood and Jonathan Rossouw's book South African Birdfinder and in Hugh Chittendin's book, Top Birding Spots in Southern Africa. David Letsoalo, the top local Bird Guide in South Africa and Birdlife South Africa Council Member, is resident at Kurisa Moya and takes guided walks and outings in the Woodbush, Magoebaskloof, Polokwane, Tzaneen and Kruger Park areas.
