WILDLIFE A wide
variety of wildlife abounds on Kurisa Moya. The birding is superb, with
unusual species such as the Narina Trogon, the Buff-spotted Flufftail,
the Black-fronted Bush Shrike, the Green Twinspot and the Knysna Turaco,
to name but a few. |

You are also likely to see samango monkeys and vervet monkeys and hear baboons barking on the mountain side. The forests play host to bushpig, warthog, bushbuck, civet, genet, caracal, porcupine, bushbabies and other wildlife, while the elusive leopard lurks in the mountains.

Trout fishing is available at the Kurisa Moya dams where otters and water birds are also found. Guided walks and birding outings can be organised with professional local guide, David Letsoalo and co-owner, Ben de Boer. |
There are
stunning, colourful butterflies, in the forest edges as well as a huge variety
of dragonflies, damselflies
and frogs at the dams.
